Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Use this tool to debloat your windows: https://github.com/builtbybel/privatezilla , also, I heard that setting your region as English (International) during installation comes with less bloat-ware installed?
Also, how easy is it to switch back to windows?
Installing on Linux: 1 single command line, and saying yes. Or just going to a software store GUI, and clicking install.
Installing on Windows: Going to the website, downloading the .exe, running the .exe and clicking 'yes' 7 times, and realize one of the 'yes' installs a bloatware instead.
Also, dont get me started on how sometimes, after downloading a program on windows, it refuses to run because you are missing vcdist or some random .dll file. Meanwhile Linux auto-install required packages for you, they only break because they are out of version.
