A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

  1. All posts must be showerthoughts
  2. The entire showerthought must be in the title
  3. Avoid politics (NEW RULE as of 5 Nov 2024, trying it out)

In and of themselves? Yes. But, I think anything can still be offensive if they hurl it at you the right way. Though the offense taken is the feeling of disrespect and knowing their intent, more than the word. If someone called me a bed sheet in the right tone, I'd still be upset. lol

That's like 10% racist and I don't know how to explain why

Why would I care what a pinecone fondler has to say about it?

Quick edit: I'm gonna have to stop because I'll accidentally come up with a hurtful one and then I'll feel terrible.

I absolutely love that people around here have a sense of humor. I needed some silly bullshit after the past few days.

In case no one told you, you've wandered into "silly bullshit central" on the internet. Welcome, have a beer, find a comfy chair!

Maybe it's because I've been married for decades and I have a kid, but I cannot imagine any situation in which I would find someone calling me a virgin to be offensive. Just very, very odd.
