Struggle with this with ADHD as well. The thing I always think about is:
"If I were being lazy shouldn't I be enjoying it?"
This lazy stereotype is always somebody laying on a hammock chillin' while everyone else is working. Not someone confusedly going "What do I need to do? What should I do? What needs doing? How do I do it? Why won't I just do the thing I'm supposed to be doing?!"
I figured if I were actually lazy, my games backlog would be much smaller by now...
I do think some folks just hate making any kind of effort, but also that's probably due to one of the reasons listed above, and they need to be shown their efforts can actually mean something.
