Britalism was an architectural movement that started in the post-WW2 UK.

It became pretty common for ~20 years and was very popular in communist countries due to it being cheap and no frills (commonly associated with western extravagance).

There are tons of britalism examples all around London.

The name comes from the French word "brut" meaning "raw" as in raw concrete.
