Interesting that a jar of sauce to go (13$) is more expensive than a large bowl of spaghetti (11$) with said sauce at the restaurant.
I'd assume a jar can be used for more than one large portion. Not that I am trying to defend pricing here.
Yeah, I agree. Still the sauce to go seems very pricey to me while the food seems to be reasonably priced for a restaurant in the US.
Seems like there's a souvenir factor cooked into the pricing of the sauce
Definitely souvenir pricing. You're paying $2 for the sauce and $11 for the jar you can put on your shelf or use as a mug.
