You Belong With Me - Taylor Swift, this song played non stop when I worked retail and OMG it's so grossly misogynistic, she's just trashing this girl because she has the audacity to date HER crush. And she's just showing up at his house when she knows they are going through a rough patch all like you should be with me instead. ๐คข This is the IM NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS anthem with a grating faux Southern accent and banjos. ๐
I'm generally a fan Swift's music, but I remember listening to this song and just thinking it was the feminine version of a white night incel. I get it's supposed to be the song "all of us" felt like when we were in middle school or high school watching a crush date someone, but anyone older should view the song as a "what not to do" song.
