Masquerada: Songs and Shadows, good lore and excellent world building, "easy" and forgiving crpg.

Hah, I also failed many times and alerted the guards and ended up having to kill everyone. Getting through some of the levels while maintaining stealth can be really tricky.

I still need to check out Control. I agree that the readings in Dishonored were pretty interesting.
