i dont understand why epic games was praised since they explicitly discourage linux users and cut support for linux and they dislike linux so much they tried to sue google because unlike epic games, they care about programmers and linux and open source...
I'm not commenting on the Linux stuff itself. But the idea that Epic sued Google because they "dislike Linux" doesn't make sense on two levels:

They rode the good guys image for quite a bit.
google cares about programmers and linux... if they didnt, chromiumos and chromium wouldnt exist!

again, im very sorry but im not trolling. i know that google loves open source because its cheaper, but it also enforces a community and brings usefulness!
Google loves money. They contribute to open source sometimes, because it will financially benefit them in some fashion.
They don't "love" or "care" about programmers, Linux or anything like that. If tomorrow it was more profitable for them to axe all their open source contributions, they would.
They only exist to exploit volunteers to reduce development costs
Pretty ironic considering unreal engine 5 has excellent Linux support. Epic itself was one of the few pioneering companies that actually released Linux version of their games. So why backtrack now?
