Wow haven't heard of nicotine+ or slsk before. Is that P2P ala soulseek? I'll definitely have to check it out.
Will probably happen later rather than sooner, ever since RARBG peaced out I've been slowly working on installing the arrs for my server and importing my libraries. And that is already taking a significant amount of my free time lol.
Yeah it's basically limewire but still alive and actually good lol.
Understandable, super easy to set up fwiw, just install nicotine, create your acct, create a share folder with a download folder inside it, tell the program where those are on your pc, and the "hard" part (which you said "server," so you'll be fine) forward a port and tell nicotine what it is in the settings. Bang, done, download away.
Should work fine through a VPN as long as everything is forwarded right ya?

Yeah. My vpn just ended port forwarding, too, but it says it's still open on the client, who knows lol.
