NASA website says it's a dual-quadcopter
what's the difference between a dual-quadcopter and an octocopter?
The arrangement of the propellers. In this case there are four supports and there's two propellers on each support (one above, one below).
You know, I just made a dumb comment about Dune, but I'm happy I learned things about helicopters too.
