I'm gay.

My dad is not pleased with this fact. Completely homophobic.

Half the time his homophobia doesn't even make sense.

>Fishing show on TV in the living room
>Watching it with mom and dad
>Mom: "I don't have the patience for that kind of stuff
>Me: "It doesn't feel like too long when you're out there"
>Dad: "Time flies when you're a removed."
>Go to my room

It's getting ridiculous. He goes out of his way to respond to everything I do by calling me a removed.

And you've also given your homophobic dad more reason to be homophobic

This is the most organic “what do you mean ‘you people’” I’ve ever seen.

Oppressed minorities are not required to be on their very best behavior in order to avoid being oppressed further. 🙄

The guy could be a serial killer and the dad would still be wrong for saying that.

Escalating to violence is never acceptable. I really don't get what you're trying to say.

Violence is definitely acceptable in some situations, just not this one. Gay and traumatized is better than gay, traumatized, homeless, and possibly injured. Morality doesn’t dictate consequences.

The nazis weren't defeated with words and handshakes.
