I really loved trying out Deep Rock Galactic, but it requires friends and I've not had those for years now ):

The public lobbies have (usually) one of the least toxic player bases in online gaming.

it took me several hours to realize there was even a text chat, in basically any other game the first thing i would have seen upon loading into a mission would have been a slur.

I'll second the other responses - it's great with no friends, playing with strangers works really well.

I've been playing it solo for ages. It's fine.

The robot is a better dwarf than any friend.

it doesn't require friends, it makes everyone your friend.
