So far I've learned 2 things about rift hunting:

  1. The only new unique reward from it are the essences
  2. To get to higher tier rifts, you need consumable 1-use "motivations" that let you open tier 2 rifts instead (which give higher tier essence)

Are there any other ways of getting motivations except crafting them? Are there any other rewards besides the essences, and do we know if they are actually used for anything besides crafting the new legendary armor once it's available in 9 months?

Either I'm missing something or they don't seem that interesting or lucrative to run a lot, especially if you're not interested in the armor? What's your experience with it so far?

The tier2 boss champ I've seen was stronger than most pof legendary bounties.

Sounds better to me. I don't mind if they give you harder open world content. Legendary bounties are laughable easy in trains nowadays anyway.

Not quite, they only had one bounty modifier and could still be killed pretty fast with 5-10 players. I'd say PoF regular bounty, and then tier 3 is gonna be a PoF legendary bounty-level fight.

Those green circles really wrecked everyone though, It's possibly a bug.

the mechanic is that people with greens spread out and don't overlap eachother and there also need to be atleast 1 more non green circle player in them to help soak the damage. They should really tweak this mechanic so that if there are only 3 players, it doesnt give out 3 green circles. That's whats happening currently

@CoffeeDart @Sina @guildwars2 it did have a bug that was fixed last night:

“Avatar of Regret's Crushing Regret attack now properly limits the number of players targeted when fewer players are within range.”

Oh good! Thanks for the update
