Something the original dev never really delivered on is a convenient way to hide posts. It's honestly an essential feature. It doesn't need to be some fancy gesture shit. Just please make it easier to hide posts.

Loving the app but I'm not a fan of how some of my posts are gray cards and others are black. Can I change this?

It seems when I click on a NSFW community from the side panel subscription list, the community comes up empty, no posts.

When I load up my subscription/home tab, the NSFW posts from these NSFW communities show up in the feed.

Obviously I have 'show NSFW' selected, so I was wondering is this a bug or something I'm doing wrong my end?

Cheers.

I've never heard of Infinity before, but after being let down by Sync asking so much for removal of ads (20$ or more) I think I found my Lemmy app finally. Sync is an amazing app, but the dev's greed made me look at it in a very different way, just like with Reddit, where now if I can I want to avoid using it.

The fact that Infinity is open source and free/no ads is also a huge bonus. Why use a paid app when there is an open source alternative with no tracking or privacy concerns. I tried Jerboa, Connect, Liftoff and Thunder, but none look or feel as good as Infinity by the way, even though they work fine.

Thanks a lot to those who work on this app, you won me over, keep up the great work!

The inbox functionality has finally been implemented and the loading times have drastically improved. Very excited to see what is next

Been enjoying the app so far, but I can't seem to find the block community option.

I have been missing Infinity so much since I switched over to Lemmy. It feels even smoother than how I remember it. Now with the latest update, the slow post loading has finally been fixed. It finally feels like home again

Although, I do have a bug report. When you access the profile from the bottom navigation bar, the app crashes

That's it. Cheers and thank you for your work!

Made some themes for "Infinity for Reddit" some time ago, and like this app is an fork of the original, those themes work out-of-box.

In the future i'll create a new repository with new themes for "Infinity for Lemmy", continue to create new themes (and fix previous if needed)

When I'm sorting a community or feed by top all tome it should show read posts that are hidden.

Somehow, even after downloading 0.0.7, 0.0.6 is getting installed. Does anyone else have the same issue?

Because IMO this looks a little silly.

Maybe make it a darker color and move it underneath the community name?

not the app name but the internal package name

PSA: I struggled to add my lemmy.world account to Infinity for Lemmy and received the "cannot fetch user info" error. I found the solution online and needed to use my username, not email for the login. Other Lemmy apps ask for your email instead. Hopefully this helps somebody else too. Password character length could also be an issue.

Imo, infinity was (and still is!) the best reddit app. Hence, this fork is the best i could think of. Infinity UI is so pleasent and there are so many customisation options that its sometimes overwhelming. For me, nothing comes even close to this app. Thank you bazsalanszky. Have a good one!

How do you set a community as a favorite? I haven't done it in so long I don't remember how and I can't find the option

I feel so at home. (lemmy.world)

I feel so at home with the app, I have now imported my themes from the original app and it just seams so smooth.

~~One question though, is the app not allowing multiple users with different instance? I cannot seem to login with beehaw here, it always says user cannot be found/fetch. If you guys were able to go through it, do you have advice on how I can login on beehaw together with my lemmy.world instance.~~

It's okay now, I had to reinstall the app. One thing though is that it keeps crashing when trying to view your profile and when trying to edit your post. So I had to edit this post to the lift off app. Will probably use infinity for browsing as it is really more intuitive and homey. For other stuff that it crashes on, I'll just try to use liftoff untill then.

Thank you dev for forking the app!!

I am not sure what is causing them to be highlighted differently. All are read posts here.

UPDATE: i see that the posts that were marked as read were read from other clients. And for infinity the Mark as Read was not enabled. Issue is resolved now.

I'm excited to announce the release of v0.0.7, which brings several significant changes:

  • Post Editing Feature: You're now able to edit your posts after publishing them!
  • Basic Inbox Feature: The app can now access the mentions and replies tab in the Inbox activity. Note, private messages are not yet supported.
  • Improved Post Loading: I've refined the post loading code, which has resulted in better performance!

Looking ahead, I'm contemplating the best focus for our next steps. Should I prioritize enhancing the overall experience by ironing out bugs? Is it time to push for an F-Droid release (noting I have an open MR for this, though I would love to have reproducible builds)? Or should I enrich the app with more features? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Infinity was my go-to Reddit app for a long time. And it looks like it's gonna become my go-to Lemmy app as well. The familiar yet customizable interface is great.

Apart from the missing features (which I've no doubt will be added in the future), I had one nitpick. Collapsed comments show up as green. It's an eyesore for me, and it'll be great if it were the same color as the other comments.

Apart from that, I've been really enjoying it. Keep up the good work! Also, do you accept donations? I'd love to donate whatever little amount I can to support this.

bottom navigation bar auto-hides even after disabling immersive navigation

rest all seems indistinguishable from infinity for reddit. and i mean that in the most positive way possible

It seems to be loading content slowly. My phone is a Galaxy A51 4G btw

Non-Issues.. (lemmy.ml)

After having a little read of the issues posted over on codeberg, I noticed a couple being reported that clearly aren't. This is possibly as many may not be previously familiar with the app.

Default sort type: This is available in preferences/settings/Sort type, where so far the default settings seem to work.

An issue was raised regarding renaming the Home feed, to subscribed, this is something that can be changed by the user. In settings/interface there is an option to Customize Tabs in main page..The number of tabs, tab type, order & the title for each tab can be changed, by the user..

This app has many options & features already carried over from the original...its worth exploring, & remembering that many options don't take effect until the app has been restarted..

I know development is still in early stages. Anyone else seeing this: when mark posts as read is turned on in settings > post history, Infinity crashes after clicking to view a post?
