Since some time now the Steam Flatpak cannot start up and I have no idea why this happens.

Web research leads to basically nothing that is related to what I experience so I assume it has something to do with my system. Other Flatpaks start up normally and I can use them.

When resetting everything related to the Steam Flatpak and reinstalling it from Flathub it loads and installs the Flatpak and then installs all necessary stuff

Task management non-existent @steam

Almost 20 years ago, I've got a steam account already. Somehow, I've lost the account-name, but I still see it in the friend list of my brother.

I'm quite certain to still know the password, but I cannot remember the account-name. Any way of recovering it?

For years it really did seem impossible to get the series released in the west. We had to wait for a guy to go to the con and upload it, which would then get shared on DoujinStyle and the like. Nowadays Steam releases of Touhou games are more common and it's great to see.

A long time ago there was a mistake in a Steam Client update that produced an interesting result, ALL products on the account, including hidden products such as demos, became visible on the games library.

I'm looking for a way to get that back.

Mine is probably the Liberty City Minute achievement for Grand Theft Auto IV. I think technically you have 30 hours to beat the main storyline but I managed to power through and beat the entire game in one sitting.

Achievements were only added in after an update a couple years ago (when they removed the dated Games For Windows Live DRM that made the game pretty much impossible to play without modding) so it's technically not the rarest for the game. The achievements for getting the highscore in QUB3D and flying underneath the bridges are even more rare but I'd argue they're easier to get.

What Steam achievement are you most proud of?

Is there one that took a lot of time to get? Did you have a good time with friends? Was it an achievement you struggled to get on other platforms when you were younger?

Regardless I'd be interested to hear about it.

I dont honestly expect you to see this, but it was fun enough I thought I say something in a public space.

If you're a tuskan raider who was working with a gal doing belly flops and holding a big gun, that was me. I didn't think touching the world stone would change the map and make alchemist inaccessible, and I was hoping if we made a point to go back and intentionally die that the other guy in your game would see what was up.

I'm usually a solo player, and very rarely a mic player so I enjoyed the chance to hang out in a low pressure, no mic environment. I just wanted to mess around with my big ol engineer gun and enjoy big dakka. Thanks for putting up with me being actually incompetent, it was a good time :)

apparently -vgui doesnt work anymore, Just launches me into new steam, but half broken. and pure new steam runs like crap, and its ugly to boot.

yes I've already tried toggling Smooth Scroll/GPU & Hardware acceleration, etc, etc. Doesnt change a thing.

So I dont suppose anyone knows of anything like vgui that'll make steam not use this horrible mobile app looking new version?

There's a problem with Steam Cloud, when I try to manually delete the saves that don't even appear in the save list in the Early Access for Baldur's Gate 3, they keep on being restored from Steam Cloud even though I deleted them. But, they don't appear in the game's save menu so I can't delete them at all! What do I do to delete those saves for eternity and not just until I launch the game again?

Larian Studios say I am to delete all Early Access saves from the game in order to prevent problems when the game is fully released, but I can't do it because the saves can't be deleted in game - they no longer appear in the game menu.

So I was browsing SteamDB.info looking at the various games on sale when I noticed there were a bunch of games (usually from the publisher Hede, but there's quite a few others) listed as having a discount in the high nineties, yet still costing in the neighborhood of 30-50 dollars. Even odder when I go to the game's Steam, it's not listed as being on sale and costs the... "normal" price of $99.99.

I'm just wondering A) What the scam is here, B) How a SteamDB.info is getting $99.99 dollar game as costing 30-ish dollars when it's 97% off but at the same time it's apparently not actually on sale?

The app I want to launch is Borderless Gaming. I don't play games that require it very often. So, I don't want to have to set it to launch when the PC starts. I found via this article that the way to launch steam apps via command line would be like this: steam://run/, so I came up with: steam://run/388080.

Adding steam://run/388080 %COMMAND% to the launch options of the game launched Borderless Gaming and then the game looked like it was going to open but it just crashed. Am I missing something?

edit: I am on Windows by the way.

Having all of them displayed like that can be confusing for people with too many stickers.
