Many good things have already been said, but I want to add one thing.

If you want an coherent framework that allows free speech but no hate speech, look at consequential ethics. As opposed to rule based ethics (free speech absolutionists).

I.e. we want to maximize the amount of common knowledge (flow of information or free speech) because it leads to the best results over time. If we want to maximize the flow of information, we cannot be absolutionists, because that puts us in a local minimum (failing to optimize properly). In other words, we need to restrict certain free speech to achieve maximum effective free speech.

If you're still into declarative and immutable distributions, I would recommend trying Guix. Emacs works pretty well. You can let Guix or Emacs handle installation of Emacs packages. And as others have already mentioned, eglot is now part of Emacs. Use that instead of emacs-lsp.

No, I mean Cornwall. I'm all about Cornwall.

Exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you.

Yeah, I don't really know anything about plastics and I don't want to know. Just as I don't want to know anything about flame retardants and lead escaping from cheap ebay electronics. That's why a I want a fat and expensive CE stamp. TCO would be great as well.

I believe they only sell parts and kits.

Awesome! Thanks!

I know there is the Ultimate Gadget Laboratories (ultimate hacker keyboard) but I'm looking fore something more Cornish. And I want premium grade stuff that has a CE stamp. I.e. no low quality 3D-print plastics that will give me a rash or maybe cancer in a couple of years. Something like ZSA or Kinesis.

So, is there any?

AI assistants are awesome. I hope there will be an Emacs LLM client package based on Anthropic new protocol in near future.

Kamala lost because the policies of the Democrats suck for working class people. And the Democrats are in general corrupt as fuck. It's as simple as that. Just as in Russia, if the system is super corrupt, better make it explicit by making corruption THE system. USA has been an oligarchy for quite some time. Trump 2.0 just made it explicit.

Of course immigrants don't automatically want more immigration for many reasons. They get more competition on the labor market and the large inflow of new immigrants increases the risk of them being a target of xenophobic policies as well. From a materialistic and egoistic viewpoint it's quite irrational to be pro immigration if you're an immigrant who has already arrived and is doig fine.
