Also give Ollama-rocm + Open Webgui a shot as an alternative to koboldcpp if you cant get atleast some text generation to work because that is the only thing I have got working with rocm.

This checks out after what they recently did to the ZLUDA project. As an owner of an AMD gpu I agree that ROCM support is really bad. It works half of the time and fairly poorly.

The cool thing about donating is they respond to your message if they arent a dick that just has a tts going 24/7. For example Jerma didnt really push donating he just enjoys reading chat and I actually got my message read once by him. As for my impulsive buy? Id say the same thing as yours, when the steam deck came out I immediately pre ordered it. I had been waiting for a good PC handheld experience for a very long time and Valve were the ones to show up unlike the very bad GPD Win I used a couple years prior.

The only thing I knew about it was that it was going to use linux so while I was waiting I started to learn about it and actually use it on my main PC over windows and I have never looked back since.
