I haven’t been back since the api change last month. Someone said they liked it because it felt like the Wild West of the internet again and I agree with them. It’s exciting to be here and see it grow

I like it. It reminds me of how Reddit was when I joined 15 years ago
I've been here 1 month and haven't logged into Reddit since then. I vastly prefer it here. People are friendlier.
I like it!
I'm loving it! There's definitely a learning curve to the fediverse, but it's been an enjoyable process and I haven't felt the need to go back to reddit since switching. All the communities I cared about on reddit either ported over here or have equivalents, and I find the user interactions in comments to be much more level headed and engaging.
Edit: I will add, I have had to supplement some of my news feeds with RSS, but that's been something I've wanted to try for a while. So I'm not particularly disappointed in giving RSS a go.
It's cool but I miss quite a few subs that I think should be big enough to be on here. If there's only memes and tech news I'll get bored soon.
As a former Apollo user wefwef.app is the solution here. Reddit becomes more and more a place I don’t need anymore…
It's fine, but a bit limited, mostly because I usually used Reddit for a bunch of niche stuff that hasn't made its way over here yet. If it does, I'll be pretty happy. If not, I'll go follow the subs to Discord or wherever they end up going, or just check in on Reddit on occasion if the communities stay where they are.
I'm good with lemming out. I do miss some of the excellent subreddits, but I'm done with corporate platform enshittification. I think lemmy will evolve at approximately the rate reddit devolves.
Haven’t felt the itch to go back to Reddit. Not as many comments but I know it’s growing. I’m also trying to engage more myself so it’s a different feeling then just lurking.
Yeah, it not being saturated yet kind of invites more active participation IMO.
It feels nice and I hope to see it growing in a healthy way!
I made an account when the Apollo developer sadly announced that the app would shut down on June 30th and honestly I'm liking it here. I'm seeing more and more users and posts and communities every time I check and I hope it continues like this.
It's been good! I'm glad to see it slowly growing as more and more people post. Not going back to reddit that's for sure
yes as everyone has said i like it here - engaged more here in 2 weeks than in 5 years on reddit. everyone seems nicer and you get the sense fills are genuinely trying to help build this community by getting out of their comfort zone and contribute. ❤️
It's fun. But I do get fatigue from making content only a handful of people see
I feel the same way too. But it’s getting better every day! 💜
I like it. Actually very impressed with how smooth it has been. Just missing all the subreddits I used to follow - but hopefully with more people switching it will be better.
