Just tried the GitHub release but posts fail
I’m really digging wefwef on my iPad since it is pretty much Apollo for Lemmy.
What am I doing wrong?
I can post on the Lemmy website (typing this on my desktop right now), and I have downloaded and installed a couple of the apps listed above on my Android phone, but I can't log-in into any of them.
I have tried many times over a couple of days now so I don't think it is because of the Reddit refugees swarming this site or those apps, but maybe I am wrong.
One rather confusing thing is that when I try to log into wefwef for instance (but I think the other apps have something similar), it asks for Account's server. I don't know. I pick lemmy.world but I am only assuming that is correct. Then the next screen asks for username or email. I've tried "Hazdaz", I have also tried the email this account is tied to. I have tried all lowercase. I have double and triple checked my password. But everytime it says "double check your credentials".
Your account is on lemmy.world. make sure your selecting it when trying to sign in.
I'm trying out Summit now and it's quite good. But I don't think it has a list of communities that I'm subscribed to and I can only choose to either see all posts from my "subreddits" or all from my instance/federation. Apart from that it's good.
Are there any others than jerboa for android?
Wefwef is strange, you go to website and then install app from there. It's actually good.
Tried Summit and Connect, not that impressed yet.
Connect doesn't seem to have a way to visit and subscribe to other servers as far as I can tell.
3 dots on the bottom right brings up a menu to go into sub then top right another menu where you can sub
Never used Apollo but wow Wefwef with Hermit browser is just chef's kiss
Due to a bug in reposted comments about Summit, I will be locking this thread to prevent further issues.
Feel free to make a new thread about Lemmy apps!
They all kinda suck at this stage.
So far I've used Jerboa, Connect, and Liftoff. So far my favorite is Liftoff.
Haven't tried LiftOff yet, but Jerboa (after it started working following server upgrade) and WefWef seem to be good. I'll try LiftOff soon.
I miss something that's close to Baconreader. To me, that was Reddit for 12 years.
Baconreader was my daily distraction for so long, I'd love to find an app similar to it for lemmy

Which ones are open source?
