I wish Reddit apps were promoting Lemmy in their shut down message to users.
Just deleted my account and uninstalled Boost. Sad day for the Internet.
Sad? Yes and no if you ask me. Sure, it is a shame that 3th party apps got killed and people are leaving Reddit. On the other hand, people join Lemmy and 3th party apps can switch to a new platform if they want to. The only loser is Reddit.
More like π€ we don't want to be bombarded with what will be left of Reddit. Be bots and trolls. Maybe a few good people but I hope we keep up the vetting wall and not just letting people mass sign up.

No but really, it takes some getting used to, but glad I made the jump.
Yeah, it's not yet got everything Reddit had but I've found a lot of great communities which are really enjoyable to participate in so I'm enjoying it more here
I love the positivity of this one. Itβs been difficult deleting my account and uninstalling Apollo. Very sad.
