A community for the technical death metal subgenre. Share and discuss music that melts your face!

Rules:

  1. Don't be a dick.

  2. Try not to get too bogged down in genre-gatekeeping. Discussing the "tech" credentials of some release/band is fun, but as long as it's oozing viscera, it probably has a place here. Shredbang!

  3. Suggested (not enforced) music-posting format, mostly to distinguish band name from album/song title:
Artist - Album Or Song (Location, Year) (ffo: These Bands) (links)
ffo ("for fans of") and added links (e.g. YouTube, Spotify, Bandcamp, Encyclopaedia Metallum) are optional but can make it easier to check out the music you're sharing.

Hello! I am currently trying to write a Wikipedia article for Retromorphosis as there isn't one yet. Problem is: I need published sources discussing the band that are somewhat unbiased (e.g. NOT the band/label web page).

I feel like Psalmus Mortis was one of the most highly anticipated albums in a while and was well received too. Also the band should have an article. Can you help me find some reviews from reputable sources? I am not much of a review reader myself.

Cheers

I always like Angry Metal Guy’s reviews (not sure how independent this is, if the label sends a free copy and that incurs bias or whatever, you can check and decide). I also see 2 reviews from regular folks on Encyclopaedia Metallum. I don’t typically get too into reviews, so I don’t have much more to share, but I do also see No Clean Singing has a review up.

Thanks. I'll see if Wikipedia accepts any of these as decent sources. I feel like No Clean Singing is pretty big at least
