Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Rupert Murdoch will step down as board chair of Fox and News Corp. and be succeeded by his eldest son, Lachlan Murdoch, the companies announced Thursday.

If he did, I can see the next few things following immediately after:

  1. Rebranding to X News
  2. Adding the news segments as videos on X (formerly Twitter)
  3. Pushing the news on users, much like he pushes his own Tweets
  4. Dropping cable television broadcasting because the FCC and regulations go against his "free speech absolutist" values.
