Then do it bitch, I don't care.

My job will literally not be affected and all the American companies we work with will just skirt the law to avoid tariffs because America or they will pay them.

Ain't no one taking down the true north strong and free 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

As an American, I support the effort Canada and Mexico will do to fight back.

Eggs coming down in price on Sunday.

[–] ObstreperousCanadian@lemmy.ca 7 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Thanks for the reminder that I need eggs this weekend. They're like $4 CAD a dozen here.

Let’s talk about that summertime electricity from the north. Can Canada turn that off?

[–] Kecessa@sh.itjust.works 13 points 13 hours ago

Oh don't worry, it's on the table, funny that this shit is happening not long after Quebec started exporting electricity to the US only to realize they should have kept that capacity for themselves because demand is only increasing... The problem might just solve itself!

Crash these economies, with no survivors. (OK, bad day for that one.)

Until people see the results of fascism, it'll keep creeping and creeping. Right now it's at full throttle. Let. It. Run.

LMAO at Americans bitching about grocery prices. Well over half of us are getting plenty of calories. There won't be change, let alone revolution, as long as we're all fat, happy and something is on the tube.

[–] SulaymanF@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

Well I mean you need a few survivors to warn the rest of humanity right?

[–] justOnePersistentKbinPlease@fedia.io 15 points 16 hours ago (2 children)

If Trump puts tariffs on Canadian oil, Americans will see an immediate 5% price jump in all goods, even the ones not covered by tariffs.
