On Google image search, click the “tools” button under the search bar, hit the “colors” drop-down, and select “transparent.”

On a computer if you click and drag the image if the ghost image has a transparent bg you won't see the checkerboard. You can also save the file by dragging it to the location you wanna save it to.

Is this site legit?

Damn, where were you the other day when I got frustrated looking for a tool and wound up cutting out Odo's face by hand? It was tedious and came out a bit sloppy.

Even if not the online Photoshop thing Photopea (sp?) Has a nifty magic select that beats the fuck out of trying to cut stuff out by hand

Missed this in the normal flow, I'm glad odo soup mode is in my brain now, thanks

If I'm gonna use that, I might as well pick any image to use instead of being limited to checkerboards 😅

When searching you can just add: filetype:png

To the end and it will only give you PNGs which have transparency.

In the "color" drop-down, select "transparent". Ta-da!

In the "tools" menu on the Google Images search results page

Easy way to tell (at least through Google) is that the background will show up as white on the images page, but upon selecting the image it will change to the checkered background
