I avoid modern pop music in general... But I'm sorry, I will always have a soft spot for "Baby one more time" by Britney.

I would add "I want it that way" but let's be real, every dude secretly likes that song.

I don't really think of songs as girl songs or boy songs. That being said, I guess La vie en rose by Edith Piaf, I guess? Nothing secret about it, though.

Also, no secret in me liking I want it that way. Never told anyone, but that's because nobody ever asked me.

Tori Amos's Silent All These Years. That mercurial little piano riff. The painful lyrics. The liberation of the middle eight. It's a perfect song.

Going back a few years I loved 90s Mariah Carey and Jewel. Fiona Apple’s debut album was instrumental in my life. Nowadays, I am not a super fan or anything but I enjoy and have very high opinions of T Swift, Gaga, BeyoncΓ© and many other.

My daughter recently introduced me to Chappell Roan and damn she’s amazing.

I recently came across Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter and it sounds like the old pop that I like.
