A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. A showerthought should offer a unique perspective on an ordinary part of life.

At the time of this comment, 3 down voters. Who are these people? Anti foie gras people to the point of it being even mentioned gets a down vote? Heavy drinkers that hate French food? Ducks or geese that have opposable thumbs?

Could be worse, at least you're not suffering from self induced ortolan, AKA the dish so degenerate that it is eaten under a cloth "to hide from the eyes of god such overwhelming decadence."

TIL!

The ortolan is served in French cuisine, typically cooked and eaten whole. Traditionally diners cover their heads with their napkin or a towel while eating the delicacy. The bird is so widely used that its French populations dropped dangerously low, leading to laws restricting its use in 1999. In September 2007, the French government announced its intent to enforce long-ignored laws protecting the bird

Or duck 🦆 but yes. Damn near broke up with an ex of mine when she asked me if I would be bothered by her ordering foie gras, and then explained what it is.
