I'm not going anywhere. Feels more like home tbh. Curious how it evolves as people sort themselves out, and what kind of interaction we get, if any, among the different communities with different opinions. I'm sure there'll be drama lol. Here for it.

i agree, feels very cosy here. just enough people to have a good conversation but not too many to feel swamped.
lemmy.ml seems to have built a reputation too, which is interesting. I never had any poor interactions (yet) with any moderation across the fediverse, but itβs interesting to see the effects of moderation style impacting instances.
It's interesting, because moderation here is public: you can check the modlog at the bottom of the page to see what was removed. Transparency is awesome, plus you get to see what mods have to deal with every day.
Iβm still confused by the Fediverse stuff. I canβt grasp how to subscribe to lemmy in kbin and vice versa. But Iβm here to stay.
Simple dude. For example let's say you want to subscribe to https://sopuli.xyz/c/steamdeck
The equivalent url in kbin would be: https://kbin.social/m/steamdeck@sopuli.xyz
Edit: so url would be https://kbin.social/m/[community]@[instance_url] and hit subscribe on the right
Edit2: nice cat
This post was very helpful for that: https://lemmy.world/post/266744 The same person has 2 other chapters that were very helpful for me. Check them out!
I'm in Kbin on my phone. If I open a post that was made in Lemmy and it looks like a community I want to follow, I scroll tk the bottom of the post. There should be the name of the Lemmy community with an icon, and underneath it a subscribe button. I just click on that to subscribe to that specific Lemmy community.
This is what I do, find it the easiest way
I wanted to quit reddit since a long time, it feels like the best time to do it
She looks soo happy btw. House isn't a house without a happy cat haha
The cat looks beautiful!! I like her :D
I don't mind taking the time to become acclimated. Had I known about the existence of lemmy (fediverse?) I would have left reddit sooner.

I care not for Fleddit. I see kitty, I upvote.
