I have never played Firefly, but I have always wanted to try it. Is it worth $255 to me? Tough sell, especially without a regular game group.

You can regularly find the base game for like $20. Honestly, I'd pick that up and give it a try before dropping 10 times that for the all-in package. Guaranteed they'll have a late pledge system, so you should have time to determine if it's your type of game.
