I love it. I'm just really hoping the sports communities take off. Following and commenting in game threads had become a big part of how I enjoy watching sports and I really want that again.

Yeah, I'm big into the NFL and fantasy football subreddits, so I'm glad it's the off season, but once the season starts I'm going to really miss those threads.

There is hope. https://lemmy.ml/c/formula1 is really good and has completely replaced /r/formula1 for me, and I don't miss it. The discussion threads don't have an infinite comment count, but there's a solid amount of good quality conversation. And all the sporting news gets posted.

I've got to think NFL will find a foothold somewhere.
