Hmmm... dehumanizing the "other". Where have I seen this rhetoric before?
Bit of a paradox of tolerance situation here. Communist regimes have been some of the most dehumanizing in existence. Itβs perfectly reasonable to not support them.
Back in PRL times it was the danish who came to us for abortions. Kinda funny how shit the situation is for us now.
Cuba has the most progrssive family code in the world, that was voted in by a referendum.
DDR was a forefront for trans rights, which all have been regressed after the Berlin wall fell.
But because countries of yesteryear aren't holding up to your standards of today I don't see this as fair argumentation. Hell, afro-americans had very positive experiences when visiting the USSR, being treated like an equal human being for one. Not even talking about soviets pushing sex equality in every field of life. Things like these were very much unheard of in the US at the time.
One of the few things left over from socialist times for Poland and other countries is about a 50/50 split in sex participation in the sciences.
Holodomor - intentionally starving 5m people to death was so humanizing.
Stalin ate all the grain and paid the clouds not to rain.
And please don't forget that the tragedy, which was not an or orchestrated genocide, was the last of regular famines in these regions which includes more than just Ukraine.
Either way I've got work, so I'll just assume you don't and drop this 1h and 30min video by BadEmpanada on the matter. Even you decide to continue to disagree on the matter I urge you to watch for additonal context.

Edit: If you wanted to use some proper ammo, you could've cited post war deportations as those were a total shitshow.
