Yes! And this is why I am not in favour of all those Reddit crossposters people are talking about setting up. We are not building a Reddit clone here, but a brand new platform. If you see there is content missing here which is there on Reddit, post it yourself rather than having a bot mindlessly crossposting stuff from there and drowning out content from actual people.
Agreed, I like the position that this is a new platform. Yes, it has some similarities to Reddit but the Fediverse is it’s own thing.
Hopefully those communities wont stand if they arent good, and new memes and communities will be spawned
