Gilby, North Dakota has a ton of high quality caches (mostly hidden by one prolific gadget cache builder), despite its small population and somewhat out-of-the-way location.

Are there any other towns like this around the US (or the world!) that seemingly randomly have tons of high quality geocaches? Bonus points if they're smaller places that otherwise wouldn't be tourist spots.

A few years back I was finding a cache in a neighborhood where I had just finished meeting with a client. In my online log I typically mention that. But in this particular instance I was using speech to text and what was published mentioned that I had just finished a Klan meeting. I got a note from the CO asking if that was a typo and could I please remove the log. I was mortified and quickly made the edits to reflect the true nature of my visit.. but then was thinking how many other logs that I'd written with speech to text mentioning the same thing. I used GSAK to filter for Klan or Clan and thankfully didn't find any other instances.

What typos have you published that got you into trouble or were maybe just embarassing?

Finding the coolest locations. We went camping on the dry side of the state and went hiking up the steep hillside to find some caches in the evening. But I wanted more so my dog and I went up before sunrise and were rewarded with some spectacular views.

Rolling hills lit up by the morning sun

Oh yeah.. I found a geocache too.

A high D/T brought me to the culvert. It's time to go in and find the cache.

Mine was highlighters that smelled like fruit. Found them in the early 2000s and they still have their smell!

Literally NO negativity❤️ just kind people meeting up to talk about a weird hobby they all have and to help eachother out. I came back from a geo-buddies 50th anniversary party two days ago. I have practically no relation to this dude, besides the fact that we are friends on geocaching and I got invited to it (it was a surprise party) and I was sent an invite by a differnt cacher. While there I found many other cachets and our local reviewer. I just love events and the community.

I was reading some recent logs on my hides now that I'm back from camping weekend. One "Find" mentioned that the cache was missing. So I opened up the cachers profile and read all of their 5 online logs.. this one was interesting and mildly concerning. This was logged on a cache a mile or so away from my cache.

They tend to only be about 4 or so people (the few people in my area who go caching every day and know one another well) and at a restaurant or at someone's house. Would it be weird to just pitch, because I don't actually know them or anything
